Definition: All the muscles of the body collectively, especially the voluntary skeletal muscle.
Function: Biceps, deltoid, extensors, flexors, triceps.
Key Vocabulary: Biceps- Either of two flexor muscles, one bicep brachii located in the front of the upper arm and assisting in bending the arm, and the other bicep femoris located on the back of the thigh and assisting in bending the arm. Deltoid- A large, triangular muscle covering the joint of the shoulder, the action of which raises the arm away from the side of the body. Extensors- A muscle that serves to extend or straighten a part of the body.
